Tyler Boebert, the son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, was arrested in Garfield County, Colorado, on August 9, 2026, and charged with five felonies, including three counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Authorities allege the charges stem from sexually explicit material involving a 17-year-old girl that was recorded when Boebert was 18 and subsequently shared with others. An arrest affidavit reported by Us Weekly also contains text messages investigators attribute to Boebert in which he allegedly used the N-word. He posted a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to return to court on August 19.
