“Republican Rep. Chuck Edwards of North Carolina has ended his reelection campaign after the House Ethics Committee recommended censuring him over allegations involving two young female staffers. Edwards said he would finish his current term but withdraw from the race after prayer and reflection. The committee found substantial reason to believe that he engaged in persistent inappropriate and unprofessional conduct that violated the spirit of House rules against sexual harassment and unwanted advances.”
