Authorities say influencer Gabriela “Gabbie” Gonzalez, her father, Florida attorney Francisco Gonzalez, and her ex-boyfriend Kai Cordrey have been arrested and charged in an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting singer Jack Avery, a former member of the boy band Why Don’t We and the father of Gonzalez’s child. Prosecutors allege the group tried to arrange Avery’s killing through dark web contacts during a long-running custody dispute, including alleged cryptocurrency payments and discussions about staging the death as an accident. Gonzalez was arrested in California, while her father was taken into custody in Florida, and all three face charges including attempted murder and conspiracy.
