GOP Lawmaker: Child Rape Victims ‘Romanticize’ Rapists

A Republican lawmaker in West Virginia said that child rape victims ‘romanticize’ their relationship with rapists.

The comment was made by West Virginia state senator Robert Karnes. Karnes has previously expressed support for former President Donald Trump.

Republicans have been under fire for abortion bans that force rape victims to give birth even if their pregnancy is the result of a violent crime.
