On Sympathy Tour For 1/6 Attackers, Gaetz and Greene Locked Out Of Prison Building

Gaetz and Greene tried to get access to Capitol attackers in a prison facility.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert were unsuccessful in their attempt to gain entrance into a federalprison where alleged Capitol attackers are being held.

The extremist members of Congress tried to open the doors to the building with cameras from right wing networks like Right Side Broadcasting and One America News (OAN) in tow. But the doors were locked shut, causing another stunt by the group of Republicans to go awry.

Led by Gaetz and Greene, Republicans have continued to express sympathy for the alleged attackers despite the unprecedented attack on the Capitol. The party has moved in opposition to congressional investigations of the attack, and with political stunts like this, the GOP has been seen by some to be in direct support of right-wing terrorism.
