Marjorie Taylor Greene Suspended From Twitter Again For Deadly Vaccine Lie

Twitter suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene for vaccine lies that could kill innocent people.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has once again been suspended from her Twitter account. This time, Greene has run afoul of the social media company’s terms of service for spreading lies about COVID-19.

“The Georgia Republican, who has a track record of incendiary rhetoric, will not be able to tweet for 12 hours due to Twitter’s policy against people who repeatedly share misinformation,” CNN reported.

Greene’s lies come as the country is experiencing another COVID surge, this time with infections and deaths largely confined to the unvaccinated.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy recently released an unusual public health advisory about the exact sort of misinformation that Greene promoted on her account. Many experts have noted that lies about the vaccine have suppressed immunizations among conservatives, which has fueled the spread of the Delta variant.

Despite her incendiary right-wing rhetoric, on the virus but also by spreading election lies and anti-LGBTQ hate, Greene has not been reprimanded by Republican leaders like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
